Text Box: Welcome

TAPP House was initially founded to provide transitional housing for women leaving the Tapestry Program in the Ohio Reformatory for Women. Two women ex-offenders, Corliss West and Janice Sawyer, saw a need in the community to assist women ex-offenders, homeless women, and women with substance abuse disorder overcome the stigma and obstacles related to their circumstances. They are both recovering addicts and ex-offenders. The therapeutic training they received in the Tapestry Program was priceless. The vision of TAPP House/TC, Inc is to successfully reintegrate women back into the community by assisting them with the proper training, to overcome negative stereotypes, and to provide program activities that will empower them to become responsible, functional, productive, caring individuals which will increase their quality of life and have a positive impact on the community as a whole.
WE are Here...
...to help you identify your options.
...to discuss steps with you, not to take the steps for you.
...to help you discover your own strength, not to rescue you and leave you still vulnerable.
...to help you learn to choose, not to make it unnecessary for you to make difficult choices.
